The DataWindows Data Acquisition
System consists of a notebook or desktop computer, a MX32USB data acquisition assembly,
and DataWindows software.
Each of the 32 differential channels on the MX32USB Assembly is routed to a 9 pin D connector which also has +5, +12, and -12 VDC available for sensor power and signal conditioning. A wide range of accessories including Mass Flow Controller (MFC) Breakout Cards, Thermocouple Adapters, Pneumatic Valve Indicator Kits, and Manometer Breakout Cards are available. These signals can be sampled continuously at up 10,000 samples per second per channel. Unlike competing data acquisition applications, DataWindows software has the unique ability to analyze process data as it is collected and eliminates the need to export large, difficult to manage data files to external applications. Process events can be reviewed individually or they can be reviewed collectively with overlay charts. Channel setup information, including a detailed description of channel connections, can be saved and loaded for each application. Traditional statistical analysis such channel
mean, standard deviation, maximum, and minimum are available as well as
process timers and step overshoot, undershoot, stability time, and decay
constant calculations. This enables the user to precisely characterize
process timing and to monitor MFC performance. All calculations can be
reviewed via Statistical
Process Control (SPC) Charts which can be activated to achieve realtime
specification limit checking.
